Thus this year the dry bulk market has made unexpected gains and has now eased slightly in all sectors. There is some disquiet over the manufacturing and high-tech sector in the USA. General Motors and Ford are finding market conditions tough. IBM, Apple and other consumer electronic companies have put on disappointing performances and the high cost of energy is also causing concern.
