An early double/double Suezmax and a newer MR tanker have been the targets for Top Tankers this week. The 1993, Mitsui-built Minerva Symphony of 150,038dwt is reported to have been sold by Minerva for the firm price of$54M. It has also bought the Great Eastern-controlled Jag Prakash of 45,507dwt. The 2003 Hanjin-built product tanker attracted a firm price exceeding $50M. It was delivered to the Indian owners two and a half years ago at a price of $32.5M. To top that, Top is reported to have sold three older product carriers. The double/double 1991 -built Victorious and the 1992-built Invicible and Relentless, all of 47,094dwt and built at Halla Shipyard, were sold en bloc to a Norwegian K/S company in a deal worth $78M.
