Questions have been raised about the export volume of soybeans and meal that can be expected from South America in the next few months. The volumes could have a bearing on a dry bulk market that already appears under some pressure. The American Soybean Association (ASA) reports tha "unfavourable weather conditions from January through March" have led to smaller crops than expected from South America's producers."Brazil's soybean crop is about 45% harvested," it notes, "and fow yields are reported in southern Mato Grosso do Sul and western and northern Parana."
