In recent times, some observers have been writing their obituaries for the reefer ship. Certainly, the market in recent seasons has been more than disappointing, while some in the industry apparently see little future for the sector that is not in a container. So, what does the future hold - the road to oblivion or light at the end of the tunnel? The answer is that the reefer sector should not abandon hope - however, the future may see a need for re-focusing on those trade areas where it can still demonstrate a competitive advantage.
