From his perch on the 17th floor of the World Trade Center in Jakarta, Tim Cottew, who last July set up Equinox, a new shipping company there, is trying to build up his new business "quietly and sensibly" as he put it to Fairplay. The former chairman of Singapore's Osprey Maritime had made news in early 2001 when he sold out his stake to World Shipholding, controlled by John Fredriksen. The sell-out paved the way for the listed company's take-over by the Norwegian tycoon, who de-listed Osprey from the Singapore stock exchange.
