The time is ripe for Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A). The depressed economic climate appears to be just right, and over the past few months we have been seeing activity in M&A heat up with several deals in Asia leading the way. "When the world economy is like it is currently, that creates a need for and impetus for companies to restructure, which in turn creates opportunities for M&A," Christopher Moore, partner in corporate finance at Norton Rose told Fairplay. The international law firm acted for Malaysia International Shipping Corp in its successful acquisition bid for American Eagle Tankers.
