It is a brave and bold concept to prepare forecasts looking as much as five years ahead, which is perhaps why few analysts jump at the opportunity to contribute to our now established six-monthly series of sector predictions. Looking even a few weeks or months ahead is enough for some researchers and it is easy to dismiss long-term projections as, at best, hopeful or, at worst, irrelevant.
