Finally the year 2000 has arrived. The year 2000 computer problem, as yet, does not appear to have surfaced; in fact, perhaps we should ask ourselves was it all a big hoax (or was it that we were all so well prepared that we had it thwarted before it could take hold)? Whatever the answer, we should all be grateful that widescale problems were not encountered. Would not we all wish that shipping were the same? If we look at the year 2000 in a shipping context, I think it fair to say that most of us believe that the worst is behind us and that things are now starting to look at little bit rosier.
