Leif Hoeegh, the Oslo based shipping group, is seeking a tighter focus in the future. Its ro-ro operations, which include vehicle carrier HUAL and 49.99 per cent of forestry product carrier specialist Gorthon Lines, will play a central role as together they account for 70 per cent of turnover. "HUAL was founded some 30 years ago and it has been the most profitable business of the group," says Erik Norrman, corporate communications head at Hoeegh. It has been under pressure from me stock market because its share price is at roughly the same level as ten years ago, and is seen as under-performing against the general index on the Oslo Stock Exchange.
