摘要

The smart antenna technology in wireless communication is very helpful in increasing channel capacity, spectral efficiency and range of coverage. Smart antenna can direct main lobe in the direction of desired target and nulls in the direction of undesired target. In order to accomplish this function of smart antenna, there are different adaptive algorithms that calculate the weight vector, form a focused beam and reduce mean square error. Least mean square (LMS) algorithm is the mostly preferred algorithm for its simplicity and ease of implementation, but the convergence rate is slow. In this paper, decision feedback least mean square (DFE-LMS) algorithm is introduced to overcome the limitations like convergence and mean square error for a better performance of smart antenna system.
