Mounting and storing equipment on apparatus is a balancing act. rnThe equipment should rnbe easily accessible, because every second rncounts on a fire scene, but it also has to be rnstored safely and securely so it doesn't pose rna threat to firefighters during transport - rnespecially in the event of a collision. rn"Equipment mounting and storage has become very specialized in the fire industry," says Jason Witmier, KME's pumper-tanker product manager. "Customers want equipment mounted so that it is organized and easy to access, but safe so that it does not come out of the bracket during a high-speed response."
