摘要

The night of January 13, 2010, the fire occurred at downtown location in Beppu-city burnt one town block where 22 residential houses were existing. The reasons for the many houses burnt down were such as wooden houses closed up at that area, and wind speed of 10m/s or greater blew at the night. For protecting the residents plan from such a urban large fire, it is needed to clarify the behavior of residents who exposed fire spark and heat. Then, using hearing investigation and questionnaire, we researched when the residents around the burnt area recognized the fire occurrence and when started to leave their own houses for evacuation. In this paper, we present the report of our investigation at the disaster site. As the result, it is become apparent that many of residential kept staying at their houses to protect their own property from impending fire spreading, so finally their decision of evacuation was leaded by guidance of firefighters and policemen.%2010年1月に強風下の別府市で発生した市街地火災において、火災発生当時の火災への気づきや避難などの住民行動について、災現場近くの住民に対してのヒアリングと紙面によるアンケート調査を実施した。その結果から、火災近傍の住民は、延焼を防ぐための消火活動を行うとともに、火災の延焼リスクや消火活動の効果などを各自で判断している傾向がみられ、消防や警察からの避難の呼びかけで避難を行うなど、ぎりぎりまで自宅にとどまってたことが分かった。
