Changing a tire is simple, but on the side ot the highway, nobody wants to be there longer than they have to. The road service technician is almost finished collecting information when he asks a seemingly ridiculous question, "Want the tire balanced?" The stranded driver wonders why anyone would take the time, even if the service truck has a computerized spin balancer. However, the technician knows time is more than money here and is actually talking about internal balancing compounds. It only takes a second to drop a bag of the product in the tire before it's mounted on the wheel.
