Sukhoi is continuing work on a prototype of its fifth-generation "PAK-FA" advanced tactical fighter, but the schedule for its flight-test programme is unconfirmed.rnSpeaking at the Paris air show, director general Mikhail Pogosyan confirmed that the company is now creating a prototype of the PAK-FA combat aircraft, and also preparing for the start of trials, but declined to provide any further information.rnRussian news agency RIA Novosti last year quoted industry and energy minister Viktor Khristenko as saying that "flight tests of the aircraft are scheduled to begin in 2009", but it is unclear whether this remains the goal.
