After wrapping up a year of several successful regional fly-ins, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association said it will continue with a full schedule of events for 2015. AOPA announced five fly-in locations for this year, with the first scheduled for May 16 at Salinas Municipal Airport in Salinas, California; the next on June 6 at AOPA's headquarters at Frederick Municipal Airport in Frederick, Maryland; one on Aug. 22 at Anoka County-Blaine Airport in Minneapolis; one on Sept. 26 at Colorado Springs Municipal Airport in Colorado Springs, Colorado; and one on Oct. 10 at Tullahoma Regional Airport, Tullahoma, Tennessee. Last year AOPA introduced the schedule of regional events, holding six throughout the country, in addition to a homecoming fly-in in Frederick, in place of the association's previous annual summit events. AOPA President Mark Baker said he chose to make the change in order to personally reach more of the association's members. The fly-ins that followed drew large numbers of pilots and saw a positive reaction from members.
