It was an uneventful flight, which is how these stories usually start. After a busy and enjoyable week at the National Business Aviation Association convention, I departed in the Cirrus from Kissimmee, Florida, at 8 a.m. on Friday to head back home to Austin, Texas. As usual, my trip back west would be a one-stopper, and Hammond, Louisiana, with its cheap fuel and easy accessibility, looked like a good bet.
