Rumors about swiss com-pany Pilatus' twin were finally confirmed, as the company officially launched its PC-24 at the annual European Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition in Geneva, Switzerland. Pilatus called the twinjet "the world's first 'super versatile jet,"' highlighting the fact that it is the first business jet designed to fly into unimproved airports, according to the company. A fair number of such airfields may be suitable for the PC-24, which Pilatus claims will have a balanced field length of 2,690 feet for a dry, paved runway at sea level, which is several hundred feet shorter than comparable jets. The max cruise speed is targeted at 425 knots, with the max range with four passengers slated at 1,950 nm.
