Slovenian airplane manufacturer Pipistrel has introduced a new version of its Sinus motorglider called the Sinus Flex, which offers the ability to quickly modify the wing configuration to change the airplane's performance. The outermost parts of the wings are removable, and a shorter wingtip can be installed in just a few minutes. The quick modification changes the wingspan from 49 feet, 1.5 inches, to 41 feet, boosting the cruise performance of the Sinus by several knots and giving owners more options for hangar parking.
