Amid Hawker Beechcraft's bankruptcy dealings this spring, its global customer support (GCS) group achieved a major milestone for its 400XPR program by completing the first flight of the test airplane equipped with Williams International FJ44-4A-32 engines. Sierra Industries from Uvalde, Texas, which is doing the retrofit work for the 400XPR, reported that its CEO, Mark Huffstut-ler, flew in the left seat with Hawker Beechcraft's test pilot Dave Newton in the right seat.
