Icon aircraft has partnered with Cirrus to build components for the A5 amphibious light-sport aircraft. Cirrus will build the composite pieces at its factory in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where it also makes components for the SR20 and SR22. The company expects to add approximately 60 employees there in die next 12 to 18 months to support the new program, said Todd Simmons, executive vice president of sales and marketing at Cirrus.
