We enjoyed the April issue of Flying about CAN (Corporate Angel Network). My wife is a cancer patient and a pilot and had the wonderful experience of flying with Liberty Mutual out of the Boston area back to Wisconsin several years ago. Talk about a caring crew in a Falcon 2000 who treated us like royalty and made us feel secure and safe. When they found out we were both pilots and FBO owners at Madison, where they went for services when in MSN, they let me go through the preflight and sit in the jumpseat after takeoff for about two hours of the flight. Turns out that a person I taught to fly was the chief pilot who both of the Falcon pilots worked for in Anchorage, Alaska, before coming to Massachusetts. It was an experience that really highlights the value of corporate aviation reaching out to the community and making a good name for itself in these troubled times. Hats off to all CAN participants and Corporate Angel Network itself for compassionately assisting cancer patients with a generous spirit of giving.
