After a development program more befitting a Part 23 airplane than an LSA, Cessna has announced that its 162 SkyCatcher LSA has achieved ASTM certification. The 162 is equipped with a 100 hp Continental engine and the Garmin G300 integrated flat-panel avionics platform. The airplane will be assembled in China then shipped back to the United States for final assembly and delivery. Cessna has more than 1,000 orders for the SkyCatcher.
