The end of the year is approaching, making it a good time for some summing up. I enjoy adding up my flying experiences annually, but I don't use January 1 as the anniversary date. Because our airplane gets its major "annual" in September, I use that month as the airplane's calendar and financial year-end. I put "annual" in quotes because a Cheyenne gets an "event" every 100 hours so it doesn't get an annual in the usual sense. These "events" can be just that, events, in both financial and emotional terms. Our big one comes in September, so that's the date I use for turning the page on the calendar.
