Hartzell's latest scimitar-shaped three-blade propeller has been approved for installation on several models of the Beech Bonanza, including the new G36 model. Also approved are the V35B, F33A and A36 as long as they have the original type of engine installed. The new propeller has an 82-inch diameter, two inches larger than the original, and takeoff and cruise performance improvement. Hartzell says owners are seeing a 2 to 4 knot increase in cruise speed. The propeller blade airfoils are blended along their span, a shape made possible by advanced CNC milling machines. The new propeller has no life-limiting airworthiness directives, and has a long TBO of six years or 2,400 hours.
