The Old Warden, Bedfordshire-based Shuttleworth Collection opened its workshop to the public for its annual Engineering Weekend on December 28 and 29. The informal two-day event was designed to give visitors a closer look at the attraction's work and an insight into its winter maintenance programme. Hawker Sea Hurricane Z7015 was undergoing its annual inspection inside the hangar - the naval fighter had been jacked up to demonstrate its gear retraction. Westland Lysander V9367 was also in for its service, with many panels removed to expose its internal construction.
