The letter in September's issue from Patrick Pearce regarding the crash of Canberra B.6 WT371 caught my eye. I witnessed this accident, although I did not know the full details until now. I was stationed at RAF Nicosia in Cyprus from 1956-58 in the accounts department. On this particular day I was on guard duty at Station Headquarters (SHQ) and was on one of my hours off. I was sitting in my shorts, eating a bunch of grapes, sunbathing and feeling rather bored. I noticed an aircraft about 10 degrees to my right - it was about a mile away and obviously lined up for landing.
