The Commemorative Air Force's Bell P-63F Kingcobra 43-11719 (N6763) has flown again following refurbishment and a repaint. Having been returned to its original markings at John Mosley's paint facility in Clinton, Mississippi, the fighter - a former test aircraft - took to the air on March 6. Kingcobra 43-11719 is one of only two 'F variants built, and served as a trials airframe with Bell before entering private hands. It was used as an air racer for several years and was eventually acquired by the CAF in 1981. Significant repairs were carried out following a wheels-up landing in October 2013 and while the distinctive machine did fly again the following April, its owners decided the time was right to carry out some further work.
