What a year 2020 has been. As I write, we're halfway through December and hopefully close to spending (safe) time with our families for Christmas. Besides the awful toll on society in general, the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has seriously affected airshows and museums. At Flypast, we have certainly missed reporting from events at home and abroad. That said, I'd like to thank all readers who have continued to enjoy FlyPast throughout the past year. The lockdowns and restricted movement have been difficult for many, but I'm heartened by your comments that receiving your monthly heritage aviation 'fix' is lifting spirits and providing interesting stories. The focus on pure history articles has certainly made Steve, Jamie and I explore the fascinating world of vintage aircraft from different angles. And as you'll see from this issue's report on a Douglas Boston cockpit project, lockdown has actually reinforced some restoration efforts.
