I'm writing this in the midst of 'lockdown 2.0' and dreaming of the day when I will be able to once again see classic flying machines at an airshow. Of all the types it's possible to enjoy in the UK, several really make me go weak at the knees - but none more so than the mighty Avro Lancaster. Be it at a formal air display, a fly-by over my local village fete or simply transiting between appearances, those four Rolls-Royce Merlins and the machine's sheer presence always make me go a bit 'wobbly'. Thank you, BBMF!
