The Avro Heritage Museum in Woodford, Cheshire, has purchased a replica of Avro Lancaster B.I R5868 S-for-Sugar's cockpit and forward fuselage from its creator and original owner Martin Willoughby. The exhibit has been on display at the museum for several years, having arrived there in November 2017 via a loan arrangement, but it's now set to become a permanent attraction. The original R5868 completed 137 wartime 'ops' and is being exhibited at the RAF Museum in Hendon (see January issue).
