A tragic flying accident in 2007 robbed Australia of a pioneering aviator with over 50 years flying experience. Scone, New South Wales-based Col Pay was a legend in the skies 'down under'. From the late 1950s he was at the forefront of crop-spraying, establishing a well-regarded company that thrives today. Col also allowed his passion for historic aircraft to take form. This resulted in the present-day Pay's Flying Museum housed in a purpose-built display hangar and workshop. With Col's death the legacy passed to his son, Ross, who shares his father's love of all-things aviation. Under Ross, the collection has gone from strength to strength. It is part of the Pay's Air Service family business, which also includes a fire-fighting 'water-bomber' division, air charter work, third-party maintenance and parts sales.
