Many thanks to Nic Morton, who has sent in a series of photos of his great uncle, Sgt Leslie Pidd, a Battle of Britain pilot killed in action on September 15,1940. (See Schoolgirl's Hurricane Tribute in the January issue.) Nic has also provided more information regarding Sgt Pidd's loss: 'The fine details of what happened we will probably never know, but what we can see is a picture of fierce fighting in defence of London and this particular battle taking place over Kent to the South West of London.
