The Canadian Air and Space Museum in Toronto closed its doors to the public on September 25. Founded in 1997 and situated in the former DHC hangars where the Mosquito, Anson II and Beaver were manufactured, the museum has been given until March 2012 to vacate the property following a dispute with the landlord, Downsview Park. CASM's collection includes a Canadair CT-114 Tutor and CT-133 Silver Star, Tiger Moth and Hornet Moth, a flying replica of Alexander Graham Bell's Silver Dart - the first heavier-than-air machine to fly in Canada - and its full-size replica of an Avro CF-105 Arrow. It has also been restoring an Avro Lancaster X.
