At noon on November 3,2009, a new memorial to the eight crew of HP Halifax LK954 was dedicated at South Kyme Golf Course, near Sleaford, Lincs. The aircraft, of Canadian 428 (Ghost) Squadron, Middleton St George, came down at the site while returning to its base having suffered damage during a raid to Dusseldorf, Germany, on November 3,1943.rnMembers of the golf club raised funds to erect the monument in time for it to be dedicated on the 66th anniversary. Officiating at the ceremony was Rev Sqn Ldr Stephen Radley, Chaplain of RAF Waddington.
