On September 13, Epping Forest District Council, the community of North Weald Bassett, 'The Sguadron', the North Weald Airfield Museum and Memorial, owners and operators based at the airfield and volunteers from far and wide combined to make magic.rnThis was the Spirit of North Weald Community Day Fly-in, celebrating the rich heritage of the former Battle of Britain station in Essex and raising a goodly sum of money for the Royal Air Forces Association.
