In the wider field of nutrition, intensive efforts are under way to determine the effects of various nutrients on growth and development. Much of this work employs rats or other rodents as the experimental animal. The object of the present study is to demonstrate the effects of different dietary levels of GLA from different oils in the presence of moderate and constant amount of LCPs n-3 (DHA plus EPA) on the fatty acid patterns of brain, liver, kidney, serum and their phospholipids during experiment at two stage (the first one after four weeks and the second after eight weeks). The first group had the highest percentage at all time point in brain, liver, kidney and plasma DHA compared with another groups. In comparison, high dietary levels of GLA increased brain AA in relation to medium and low levels, but had no significant effect on kidney AA at the end of the experiment.
