In February, four high school teams from 43,000-student Tulsa (Okla.) Public Schools competed in a Junior Iron Chef event to raise money for the district's Eat, Exercise, Excel program.rnFor the competition, teams of high school students created an entree, side and starch. The teams were judged on teamwork, professionalism, menu cost and design, safety and sanitation and taste. Each team had two burners, two eight-foot tables and one hour in which to prepare their menus. Electrical devices such as mixers were not allowed.
