Nineteen percent of men and 26 percent of women over age 45 die within one year of having their first heart attack. Angel Medical Systems is on a mission to improve long-term survival rates and enhance survivors' quality of life. "Because they are in denial or don't recognize subtle symptoms, people delay getting to an emergency room where heart attacks can be quickly treated to prevent permanent damage to the heart muscle," explains CEO David R. Fischell, Ph.D. "With half of heart attacks having no symptoms or unusual symptoms, the AngelMed Guardian~® System takes the guesswork out of recognizing a heart attack is happening."
