(a member of FINRA, SIPC and NFA), insists that degrees in finance are almost irrelevant when it comes to making smart decisions about retirement planning. She points to the 2012 Baby Boomer's Survey, commissioned by TD Ameritrade, which shows that 74% of respondents who identified themselves as "prepared" for retirement had something automatically deducted from their salary into a retirement account, or had some form of automatic salary transfer mechanism in place.

7. This study seeks to quantify determinants, and costs, of the laborforce participation of married women. We use demographic and earnings data from the Health and Retirement Study. The earnings data constitute an unusually long panel but have the defect of lacking corresponding reports on work hours.
