摘要

She has an economics degree from Smith College and an MBA from Columbia, butLuleDemmissie, managing director of investment products and retirement for TD Ameritrade, Inc. (a member of FINRA, SIPC and NFA), insists that degrees in finance are almost irrelevant when it comes to making smart decisions about retirement planning. She points to the 2012 Baby Boomer's Survey, commissioned by TD Ameritrade, which shows that 74% of respondents who identified themselves as "prepared" for retirement had something automatically deducted from their salary into a retirement account, or had some form of automatic salary transfer mechanism in place.
