Audrey MacLean may be the only Silicon Valley investor who was never floored by Mark Zuckerberg. "I'm just not entirely sure how to gauge the faddiness of the Internet," says MacLean, who, at 61, is one of the nation's most seasoned, well-connected and successful angel investors. That's consistent with the view she's held for at least 15 years, since FORBES put her on the cover. "My motto was, You don't need six fluffy dot-coms when it was questionable whether you even needed one."
