Sadly, in my 22nd season at this magazine, I'm still missing from The Forbes 400. It's just a matter of a few zeroes. Not all that much, really-just zeroes. Now, were I to add a few to make the nine-zero-plus cutoff, the first thing I'd do is buy a jet-or, more likely, two. I'd buy a big one, like a Gulfstream G650, a Dassault Falcon 7X or the big Bombardier Global Express, which Bill Gates has. Maybe for $50 million I could snatch a slightly used one. The idea would be to travel to Davos or the FORBES Global CEO Conference-this year in Bali, next year in Bangkok-in maximum comfort with minimal jet lag. But I'd also buy a jet I could fly myself, something like a Cessna CJ4 or Embraer Phenom 300. With such an exquisite machine I could hop from Silicon Valley to Aspen on a whim.
