Scheduled for completion over the next couple of years, the reorganization of Ecuador's state-owned oil companies, Petroamazonas and Petroecuador, aims to reinforce each as a regional leader in its field. While Petroecuador will focus on developing downstream projects, Petroamazonas is set to capitalize upon both organizations' experience in upstream activities.
