The $2.2 million Intennarine 55 is a nice entree into the yacht world Made by BMW Group's DesignworksUSA and the luxury-yacht maker Intermarine, of Brazil, it is inspired by modem architecture and automotive surfacing (think along the lines of a BMW X6) and suited to hosting sun-drenched family meals or more intimate fetes while tooling along the coast. The 57-foot-long boat will go on sale in July. A flat jumping-off spot in the stern drops below the water level to get you that much closer to the ocean. The space doubles as a landing pad for Jet Skis or dinghies, thanks to a hydraulic lift ready to retain them on board. The rear of the boat is especially conducive to the heat of Brazil. Its U-shaped sofa lets you lounge next to the cooler, cabinets and dining area (with sink, barbecue and counter space). Contours that start along the hull extend to the front yacht lines, adding to the notably European-style design.
