摘要

Mphamed Mansour sits in his London residence, where he helplessly watches the news on television from Egypt, flipping from English to Arabic channels. He came to the UK. for family reasons before demonstrations intensified and was due back in Cairo on Feb. 8. Now much is uncertain for this billionaire, who says he is "agonizing" over the welfare of his country. His 12 General Motors dealerships are closed, and 3 of his McDonald's franchises were burned and looted. But with his country's fate at stake, he says, those damages are negligible for him. "The business is the least of my problems," says Mansour. "These are sad times, when I see Egyptians fighting each other. Those people on camels [attacking protesters] in Tahrir Square—this is not Egypt"
