In the world of high finance, it's not easy being a trendsetter. Most prudent investors depend on experienced advisors, for good reason. But most investors, loath to incur "maverick" risks, tend to follow each other's lead. Innovative ideas are scarce. Indeed, "tried and true" may as well mean "tired and true." With about $3 billion in assets under management or advisement, FIS Group follows a different path, not by taking unnecessary chances, but by making smarter choices. Using proprietary research meth- ods, this Philadelphia-based asset management firm finds "hidden" money manager gems, and creates portfolios comprised of the most talented to achieve better-than-average results for large investors.
