Corinne Prevot was a 17-year-old high school junior when she showed up at East Burke Sports in northeast Vermont in her math teacher's car, carrying a cardboard box full of brightly colored Lycra and fleece hats designed for cross-country skiing. "I walked in and said, 'I have these hats and headbands, and a lot of my friends have been really interested in them. I think your cold-weather cyclists would like them,'" recalls Prevot, who will be a junior at Middlebury College this fall. "I didn't know what was an appropriate price. I had absolutely no idea what I was doing."
