On Aug. 14,2001 Jeffrey Skilling resigned from Enron, the beginning of the end for the once glorified Houston trading company. A decade after the vast accounting malfeasance, $22 billion has been recovered for creditors, but thousands of people lost their jobs and 19 execs went to jail. A look back ten years later. Last year the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that prosecutors overreached in trying CEO Skilling on the hasis that he deprived Enron of the "intangible right of honest services." The justices sent the case back to the appeals court in New Orleans, which upheld the conviction. Skilling, stuck in a Colorado pen, awaits resentencing.
