The booming Pacific surf that had seemed cin-ematically distant from Capella's lobby was up close and personal on the cliffside resort's lower terrace. With twilight falling and the lights of the lobster fishermen flickering on in the bay, I'd come to meet Capella CEO Horst Schulze, who launched Capella Hotels and Resorts with the notion of dotting the world with small full-service luxury hotels. Ixtapa is its third property.
