Donald Haagsma spends his days trying to cheat the instant lottery. As the director of print quality of scratch-off ticket maker Scientific Games Corp., Haagsma works in a laboratory at Scientific Games' home office just north of Atlanta. Every day Haagsma takes a batch of cash-green games still warm off the printing press and begins to experiment. His goal is to see if he can peer beneath the scratch-off surface without scratching.
