I love living in the city, but new problems have begun appearing in the urban jungle: Mother Nature has been getting a little too familiar. As I type these words, six well-fed squirrels are attacking my bird feeder. They leap from nearby trees, hang from the roof like acrobats and scatter seed all over the ground. The birds have fled and I am feeding a gang of fat gray rodents. My neighbor tells me that (ugh) rats have begun feasting under his bird feeder, but I haven't noticed. I have larger animals to contend with.
